Karl and Christina Depart In A 1963 Classic Convertible Cadillac Getaway Car

Our Wedding

Christina and Karl met at the United States Naval Academy in the Fall of 2023. They first bonded over their shared love of music in the Midshipman Orchestra, where Christina and Karl played the violin and bassoon, respectively. For their first date, Karl invited Christina to a swing dance held in Dahlgren Hall where they both soon learned that they had something else in common - two left feet! They have been inseparable since then, supporting each other through both highs and lows. After two years, Karl finally popped the question on October 26th surrounded by beautiful fall foliage. Following their graduation from the United States Naval Academy on May 22, 2026, Christina will begin medical school and Karl will return to the submarine force. They look forward to sharing their wedding day with their closest friends and family and are excited to begin their new lives together as a Navy couple. Both hotels at The Centennial Plaza Resort (Grand Centennial Hotel and Oasis Hotel) are located within walking distance of The Chapel and Clubhouse where the wedding and reception will be held. All hotel guests receive wristbands granting access to the onsite Water Playground with two giant water slides, a 950 foot lazy river , swim up bar, and poolside dining. Centennial Plaza's Water Playground is an amenity only for guests staying at Grand Centennial Hotel and Oasis Resort. Located inside Centennial Plaza Resort, Hippie Fish is an on site entertainment venue offering two 18-hole mini golf courses, two levels of arcade games, and casual dining. Additional resort dining options are available at Oasis Grill, Grand Centennial Wine Bar (small plates and breakfast), and Sweet Shack. Arriving the day before would allow more time to enjoy the fun amenities at Centennial Plaza Resort and other attractions along our beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast!

Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport (GPT) is the closest airport to the wedding venue (5 miles or a 13 minute drive). The bride's family may be available to provide transportation from GPT to the wedding venue. Please call or text the bride's mother or father to confirm their availability at least 48 hours before arrival. Uber and car rental are also available. GPT is serviced by American Airlines, Delta, United, Sun Country, and Breeze Nonstop flights from your city to the New Orleans International Airport (MSY) may exist and transportation to the wedding venue could potentially be coordinated by the bride's family (1.5 hour drive; please text Beth to discuss this option before booking a flight into MSY).

Is there a dress code?

Yes, the dress code is semi-formal.

Can I bring a guest?

To keep our wedding intimate, we are only able to accommodate guests whose invitation includes a plus one. Please only bring individuals included on the RSVP.

Can I bring my children?

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration.

Are you registered?  Where?

We’re registered at Target and Walmart, and we’ve also set up a cash fund link on this site to help us furnish our new apartment.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony begins promptly at 4:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to arrive 15–20 minutes early to be seated and enjoy beautiful music performed by our string quartet.

Where should we park?

There is plenty of parking adjacent to the Chapel. Please walk around to enter the chapel through the front doors and not through the side door nearest the parking lot.

We want our guests to feel and look beautiful all evening! Ladies, please wear a mid-to knee-length dress or a chic pantsuit. All colors are welcome, only reserving white for the bride. Gentlemen, we want you to look sharp, so please opt for a suit jacket or blazer with dress pants, avoiding jeans and khakis.
